Emma's Sun-kissed Celebration

EMMY LONDON BRIDE

After a beautifully romantic proposal surrounded by their closest family, Emma and Jesse wed on 19th February 2022 at Marybank Farm, Rostrevor South Australia. Their special day was a sun-kissed celebration full of love, laughter, and family.

The Vision

We wanted a day where all of our family and friends could come together and celebrate. Our families are from other sides of the world. My family is all in Plymouth UK and Jesse's family is all from Tasmania Australia. It is not often that all of the people we love are together, so we really wanted it to be a day to remember. The venue was a rustic barn so we wanted all of the flowers and table accessories to compliment that. I also wanted to incorporate some of England and Australia into the flowers as a subtle bringing our families together. So, I selected the English rose and Australian Blue Gum as the main pieces.

THE SHOES

Emma chose our iconic Harriet heels and wore them with the simple and elegant suede strap.

THE EXPERIENCE

My experience with Emmy was amazing. I could not fault the customer service. Being in Australia I was not able to try the heels on, so I was in contact over email. I am also in between sizes as a 5.5/6 so Emmy London advised me that the Harriet can run slightly on the smaller size so it was best that I sized up rather than sized down. This was amazing and when they arrived, they fit perfectly!

FAVOURITE MOMENTS

I could not choose just one moment, the whole day was incredible. The weather was a perfect sunny 26 degrees. No wind, incredible food and drinks, and everyone had a fantastic day! Unfortunately, most of my family were unable to be at our wedding due to Australia's restrictions, but to me, it was so incredibly special to have my mum and dad here as it had been an incredibly emotional 2 years of not knowing who would be able to come. So to have my parents there was so special. The rest of my family was able to join us via Zoom so I am thankful for technology!

Emma's Tips

My advice is, to take 5 minutes on the day with your new husband/wife and just stand back and take it all in. The day goes so incredibly quickly and there is such a big lead-up to the day, usually years of planning so make sure you take it in. Remember what is important to the two of you! In regards to shoes, make sure they are comfortable! As you are in them all day. My shoes were so comfortable, so thank you Emmy London!!
