A Little Afternoon Tea Magic
"I purchased my beautiful gold shoes from Emmy of London to complement a Garden Dress I had bought from Suzanne of London. Both shops just happen to be on the same London street, New Quebec Street, just behind Selfridges — what a wonderful find! The gold shoes make me feel so alive — they are simply such fun to wear! I wore them for afternoon tea on the very day I purchased them, and there was something wonderfully joyful about sitting in my floaty dress, with my ankles peeping out beneath the skirt and those gorgeous gold shoe ribbons catching the light. I found myself sitting there, almost pinching myself and wondering: Did the ladies of the Bridgerton era feel this happy? Here I was, in this very moment, sipping English tea and enjoying the most delicate, beautifully presented food, feeling utterly feminine and wonderfully transported to another time. There is something very special about discovering shoes that are not only comfortable and beautiful, but so wonderfully versatile. They can be transformed simply by changing the ankle accessories, giving them a completely different look. I also purchased the daisy and flower shoe accessories to complement my other ankle accessory, and I simply cannot wait to change the look and take them out again. Will it be a day or evening event? I’m not quite sure yet — but I just know that, whatever the occasion, I will feel beautiful. It’s amazing how one pair of shoes can bring such joy, fun and a little touch of magic to an outfit.
