Here are some beautiful images of our Emmy London bride Laura in her beautiful vintage inspired Cinderella bridal sandals.
After having to rearrange their wedding three times due to Covid-19, Laura finally wed on 21st July 2020. It was a beautiful intimate affair at Marylebone Town Hall.
Who proposed and how?
Neither of us! We’d always talked about just eloping at some point and when I was offered a job relocating to New York with my work it seemed like the right time for us to do it.
When was your wedding?
It ended up being our third date after postponing due to Coronavirus, initially it was meant to be 16th April, then 2nd July and finally it happened on 21st July. We’re still hoping to hold a large wedding reception but we’re holding off until we know we can do it safely and that we’re in the country!
Where was your wedding?
We held it at Marylebone Town Hall, we knew we wanted a registry office and fell in love with the amazing rooms.

What was your vision for your wedding?
Our initial plan was to hold our reception at a pub near the Town Hall but due to coronavirus this wasn’t possible. We knew we wanted something relaxed and casual so we thought a picnic in one of the local parks would be a safe and easy option for us, I then found a company (Pique) who set up picnics for you and they arranged all the blankets, food and drinks.

What shoes did you choose?
I saw the Emmy Cinderella shoes online and I just had to have them, at the time I hadn’t even picked my dress.
How was your experience with Emmy London?
I arranged to come in and try on the shoes in store and Hannah helped with choosing and trying on. The experience was amazing, you get your own private space and all the time you need. Hannah was also so helpful with advice on wearing them in and where to get them dyed afterwards.

What were your most memorable and favourite moments of the day? Is there any advice you would give to future couples, in the buying dress process or in any aspect of the wedding experience?
We decided to see each other beforehand and walk down the aisle together, we had these amazing moments together with our photographer just to calm down and get some of those nerves out our systems. Given everything going on just being with our friends and family was amazing. My advice would be to always go with your gut, I bought a dress that my mum and sisters loved but it just didn’t feel right so I changed my mind and found another one that I absolutely loved. With lots of people wanting to be involved it’s important to try and stay true to the day you want.
